#MermaidYogis Day 1: Seated Sphinx

Welcome to Day 1 of #Mermaid Yogis: Seated Sphinx pose.

This pose fuses an easy seated forward fold and sphinx pose to provide a gentle opener for both heart and hips.IMG_9687

  1. Begin in a comfortable cross legged seated pose (sukhasana).
  2. Inhale and reach both arms up.
  3. Exhale, hinge at the hips and reach forward.
  4. Support yourself on forearms. Draw heart forward and shoulders back.
  5. Stay for five deep breaths, keeping spine long.

When you release, extend your legs long and sit up tall into staff pose.
